About Gary Kee

Gary Kee is the founder and owner of Soul Good Cafe.

 

In 2000, Gary got very sick while he was studying in UBC. After many tests and scans, the Doctors found out that Gary has an unremovable tumor underneath his brain. In tears, Gary prayed to God with confession and repentance. In Gary's prayer, he asked God to heal him and helped him to live.

While Gary was receiving the proton radiation therapy in USA, Gary watched Food Channel every day and he discovered his passion for cooking & baking. After recovery, Gary studied Culinary Arts @ Dubrulle Culinary Arts School. Amazingly, with his brain tumor, Gary graduated as the Top Student in his class. 

​

After graduation from the Culinary Arts School, Gary has worked in many renowned restaurants in Vancouver such as Feenie's, Nu, Saint Germain Bakery, and Nightingale. 

​

Since 2010, Gary researched about food and he found that food is actually very powerful medicine created by God. However, what we eat today is not healthy because the food is highly processed. Also, many foods and vegetables we eat today contains harmful pesticides. For example, all non-organic wheat  contains glyphosate, the most toxic pesticide created by men. If you are allergic to gluten, there is a chance that you are actually allergic to glyphosate. As consumer, we have the right to be informed and the right to choose what is good for us.

Today, Gary is still living with the brain tumor. But Gary deeply believes that God's grace is sufficient enough. Gary created Soul Good Cafe so that you and your family can eat good and healthy foods again.
